Painted Faces follows a lonely evening with Blaine, a transgendered musician in search of identity and placement in this world. Through music, our protagonist finds peace, but it is only ever temporary. In a motel room after the show, Blaine, naked, crying and alone realizes that the masks we wear are just as temporary.


Blaine: (Male. 20-30) A transgendered woman who is struggling to find security, identity, and a place in this world. She hides under black metal face paint while performing and in her own skin everywhere else.

Concert Woman: (Female, 20-30) A heterosexual young woman who is trying to find her identity in the music and people she surrounds herself with.

Guitarist: (Male. 20-30) A member of a black metal band who is looking for nothing more than today. He doesn’t believe in anything except what he feels at that very moment.
